About Mini Zoo UK
Our Story
“Mini Zoo UK,” is all about providing “Conservation by Education”. We have a collection of wonderful animals from exotic to domestic, which we use to create not only a fun and exciting occasion but also to provide education on these species.
All staff are DBS (old CRB) checked, first aid trained, friendly and have great teaching and animal ethics. Here at Mini Zoo UK we have a staff education policy where we always expanding knowledge and undertaking new courses.
All animals are under a local vet but also have contact to a specialist zoo vet should we need more advance care.
Animals all have the appropriate paperwork if required, this can include A10 Certificates required by CITES (Convention for the International Trade of Endangered Species).
About Our Team
Kieron Molloy – Owner
Kieron is the owner and brainchild of Mini Zoo UK, he has a vast range of experience working with a range of different animal species. Kieron has a number of qualifications in animal welfare and has carried out a number of placements in different animal establishments.
Kieron’s main passion is herpetology more focused on amphibians. Kieron’s passion to animals started at a young age with keeping hamsters then moving onto the more exotic animals. He has visited a huge amount of animal establishments and always looking for new exhibit designs and enrichment ideas.
Kieron is in day to day charge of all the running of Mini Zoo UK and is also first aid trained. Currently he also works for the Ambulance Service on the front line.
Volunteers
We are lucky enough to have a number of volunteers that help with the day to day running and upkeep of the animals at Mini Zoo UK. These great people are always helping with feeding, cleaning, maintenance and displays. We are occasionally on the lookout for more volunteers, if this is something you are interested in please get in contact.
